What is a tech log?
A tech log is an aircraft's technical log, kept by its operator, recording each flight with its times, meter readings and fuel, and any defects found. It's the record engineers and the next crew check before flying, and the source of the aircraft's hours.
How RALPH handles it
RALPH keeps a flight record for each tech-log leg: the aircraft, the crew, the categories, the places, the times and, once it’s logged, a reading for each of the aircraft’s meters. A flight can carry its tech-log page reference, so a record traces back to the page it came from, and a flight exists whether or not it was booked.
